Miami Heat superstar LeBron James laid in to his struggling former team Tuesday night after the Cavaliers were embarrassed 112-57 by the Lakers to slump to their 11th straight loss.
The Cavs are 8-30 this season — the worst record in the NBA — after losing James to the Heat in a move Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert described at the time as "heartless and callous" in a letter to fans.
Gilbert added: "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE."
When James returned to Cleveland for the first time as a Miami player in early December, he was greeted by a loud chorus of boos and chants of "**shole."
Fans also held signs attacking their former two-time league MVP, including one that read "The decision: stay or betray?" in reference to his much maligned ESPN television special in which he announced his decision to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on South Beach.
The Heat are 30-9 — the second-best record in the NBA — and are currently on a nine-game winning streak.
"Crazy. Karma is a b****.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!" he wrote.
