This list shows that Brit has had no shortage of standout performances over the years, but this rendition of "Oops! ... I Did It Again" at the 2000 VMAs still ranks as one of the best. The performance was all Britney, with no guest stars and no gimmicks. It started with her entering the stage in a tux, then stripping down to sheer body suit that left us us a little shocked and totally giddy with excitement.
From sweatily choreographed dance numbers to an encounter with a live snake, there's no question that Britney Spears has a history of delivering killer on-stage performances on television shows. With her new single "Hold It Against Me" dominating the airwaves, the buzz surrounding when she'll hit the stage again and how she'll do it is getting louder by the second. In anticipation of what she'll surprise us with if she decides to go live with "Hold It Against Me," (possibly at the Grammy Awards, which will air live on Sunday, February 13?), we've put together a list of our top five favorite Britney-on-TV performances.
5: "Walk This Way" — Super Bowl, 2001
It was a definitely a halftime unlike any other when Brit joined the likes of Aerosmith and 'NSYNC to perform at the 2001 Super Bowl. The trio got together and rocked out to "Walk This Way," and while we loved Aerosmith and 'NSYNC we couldn't help but feel that Brit stole the show.

4: "The Way You Make Me Feel" — Michael Jackson Concert 30th Anniversary, 2001
Not everyone could hold their own next to a legend like Michael Jackson, but Britney managed to keep her cool and her swagger in an epic rendition of "The Way You Make Me Feel" at the late pop star's 30th anniversary concert in 2001.
3: "I'm a Slave 4 U" — MTV Video Music Awards, 2001
Britney had set the bar high with "Oops I Did It Again" at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards (we'll get to that shortly!), so the expectations were huge when she returned the following year to perform "I'm a Slave 4 U." Of course, she didn't disappoint when she stepped out with a live boa around her neck.

2: "Like A Virgin" — MTV Video Music Awards, 2003
Considering the similarities between Brit and Madonna, we couldn't have been more excited when the two finally took the stage together (along with Christina Aguilera) to perform "Like A Virgin" for the 2003 MTV VMAs. Everything about the set, from Brit and Christina rolling around in white wedding dresses to Madonna appearing in a black suit, was perfect. Of course, it was the lip lock between Madonna and Brit that put this one in the history books.
